The story of "Obi" unlocking the potential of silk

Silk is one of Japan's traditional cultures that we can proudly present to the world.

While it has been nurtured by nature and supported people's lives and aesthetics, we are also facing the challenge of how to carry its value into the future.

My father's family home was involved in sericulture, and my maternal great-grandfather was a craftsman who applied Japanese embroidery to kimono sashes. Having been familiar with silk and craftsmanship since childhood, and having experienced global beauty culture, I've come to feel proud of the value that Japanese traditions and technologies possess.

I want to combine the silk technology and plant power that SANKYO SEIKO has cultivated over many years, and weave Japanese craftsmanship into the future in the form of new body care.

It was from this desire that Obi was born.
